2021 Harvest Update

Blossoming Staccato trees at our Eldorado farm

The 2021 Jealous Fruits cherry crop is looking very promising, with volumes projected to increase 250% over last seasons crop.

Our 2021 cherry harvest is scheduled to start at the end of June with Santinas from our earliest ripening blocks. Suite Note, Burgundy Pearl and Chelan will start early July.

The week of July 5 we expect to start the harvest of our Kordia, Sylvia, Van, Satin, Tieton and Sonnet cherries. The week of July 12 will feature more Kordia, more Sylvia, and the start of the Lapin and Skeena from our earliest sites.

As usual, we don't hit full stride until mid-July with the start of the lake Country Lapin around July 17th. Our flagship Sweetheart variety will begin the week of July 25th, with Staccato and Sovereigns starting in early August and continuing throughout this month. The August period is looking particularly strong this year, with beautiful crops of Staccato, Sovereign and Sentenntial.

Regina, a Rising Star!

Our Regina’s are planted over a range of sites and our 2021 Regina harvest is expected to run from July 19 to August 10. This spring we planted an additional 104 acres of beautiful Regina trees. These include 54 acres of at our Thompson farm as well as 50 acres at our Okanagan Valley blocks; spanning across Coldstream, Home Farm and Layer Cake Farm. Regina now accounts for 17% of our 1200 acres planted.

Jealous Fruits is the largest producer of Regina and Kordia cherries in Canada, and more is on the way.
